Young Beginnings

Their love, which began a decade ago, first sparked when they met in year six, blossoming into a relationship by the start of year eight. Since then, Kye and Montanah have been side by side, finding happiness in each other's company. Kye embodies kindness, compassion, and a willingness to do anything for Montanah. Every day, he expresses unconditional love, making it clear that he has always been the one. Growing up together from such a young age has allowed them to develop a deep understanding and connection, possibly more profound than many other couples.

Kye had originally planned to propose during their trip to Italy. However, as the global pandemic rewrote countless narratives, it also reshaped their travel plans. Months later, on a day when the skies opened over their coastal town, Kye's carefully orchestrated plan nearly unravelled. The rain-soaked shores of Shoal Bay, Australia, were a far cry from his initial vision, and Montanah's reluctance to venture out threatened to derail the moment. But not deterred, Kye suggested a walk to Dudley Bluff instead. A walk that ended in Kye down on one knee, catching Montanah completely off guard and in a whirlwind of emotion. After an excited rain-soaked run back home, she was met with yet another surprise: 50 of her closest friends and family gathered to celebrate the moment, all part of Kye’s thoughtful plan.

A Coastal Wedding Under the Australian Sky

Montanah and Kye’s wedding at Casa Mio in Crescent Head was nothing short of perfect. The couple's vision of an outdoor soirée came to life under the expansive Australian sky, with 160 of their nearest and dearest bearing witness to their union. Willow Tree's beautiful marquee enhanced the day, transforming the venue into a versatile haven from ceremony to reception. In choosing Casa Mio, Montanah and Kye struck gold—finding a location that was both an escape from the city and not too far away for their guests. Montanah had always envisioned a large marquee and a cocktail-style celebration, and the moment they visited the venue, it felt like the perfect fit.

One of Montanah's favourite moments was the first look with her bridesmaids. She had eight bridesmaids, none of whom had seen or knew anything about her dress, making it a special and emotional reveal. While the ceremony was a picture of perfection, it was the couple's re-entry to The Killers' anthem "Mr. Brightside" that truly ignited the celebration. As the night unfolded, emotions ran high. Speeches tugged at heartstrings, with Montanah admitting to shedding more tears than ever before. But it was her mother who delivered an unexpected and deeply touching address that left not a dry eye in the house. For Montanah, the big wedding was everything she had hoped for and more, affirming her belief that it truly is the best day of your life.

A Vision in Goldie

When it came to her dream gown, Montanah had only one non-negotiable: a plunging low back. When she arrived at our Sydney bridal boutique, she tried on the Goldie gown first, and after that, nothing compared. After trying on the other four wedding dresses, she put the Goldie back on, stood in front of the mirror, and was overcome with emotion; she knew it was ‘The One.’ “The lovely lady at Grace Loves Lace made the whole experience amazing. She made me feel so comfortable,” the bride shares. Montanah added our Pierlot veil and Felipa earrings to complete her classic bridal look.
