Clayton and Kenzie in the Oceania
Kenzie and Clayton's special day was held in Buena Vista, Colorado at The Surf Hotel. The couple fell in love with the venue's aesthetic. It was cozy but also moody, romantic, and had a cool Old Hollywood feel.
From High School Sweethearts to Happily Ever After
The couple's love story began back in college through mutual friends. In true fairytale fashion, their windows faced each other in their apartment complex. A strong friendship developed between them for six months. Soon after, it became clear there was a deeper connection to explore.
Early on, they could already sense that their relationship was meant to last a lifetime. Their lives became intertwined, filled with adventures and travels. The couple not only adopted a dog together but also happened to say yes to their very first home and never looked back.
Saying Yes to the Adventures for the Rest of Our Lives
Fast forward nine years into the relationship, proposing to Kenzie was a no-brainer for Clayton. It all happened spontaneously on a random Tuesday night when Clayton had decided it was time to find the dream ring. That night, the couple were invited to a last-minute concert. There were no dull moments spending time together. Clayton thought,” If we can keep doing this for the rest of our lives, saying yes to the adventure, I will be perfectly happy with that”.
Later, the proposal happened as Clayton was organizing a surprise trip to their favorite park, located in Fort Collins, disguised as a 'work trip.' Little did Kenzie know what he had planned and even suggested beforehand to go to this park. As the couple were sitting, enjoying the day with their new puppy, Clayton bent down on one knee to ask for Kenzie’s hand. They celebrated the news over a romantic dinner with champagne and reminisced on the meaningful places where they used to spend time together in college.
The proposal was filled with nostalgia and magic, a perfect day to celebrate their love.

Other personal touches included a personalized poster, complementing the wedding theme, and their very own disco ball.
A Moment of Silence for The Departed Ones

The reaction was beautiful, a special moment they could look back on as one of the highlights of the day. Kenzie's special day was made even more memorable by the presence of thunder and rain, providing a poignant moment of reflection for both her and her loved ones as they remembered those who had passed away.
Saying Yes to the Dress
Kenzie’s bridal journey began at Grace Loves Lace. The bride already had a clear vision for her wedding gown – “Something classic and silky,”. While she had selected four different styles, destiny led her to the Oceania gown in the Denver showroom.
When Kenzie tried on Oceania, it was like something just clicked. “It's that moment when you envision yourself walking down the aisle, and it just being that jaw-dropping moment,” she shares. Kenzie burst into tears as she had found the dress. To bring her bridal attire to life, she loved how the pearl strand necklace complemented her wedding gown. This bridal accessory was the cherry on top of the cake – not taking away the focus of the dress, just adding subtle elegance to the ensemble.
“Once I had the dress on, I knew it was game over – The low back, the silk, and the pearl strand necklace were such a statement; it was perfect.”
