Love in Central Park

Aaron and Rachel’s love story began as teenagerstwo students from rival high schools crossing paths at a concert. Though they’d always been aware of each other from afar, it wasn’t until a year later that Aaron asked Rachel out on a date. “It was the best date we had both been on, and we decided to hang out again that night,” Rachel reminisces. As they prepared to head off to college, they were hesitant to make things official but were determined to make it work. After two years of long-distance dating, Rachel transferred to Aaron’s college, bringing them closer than ever. Over the course of a decade, their love has evolved, each 'version' of themselves growing together.

Against the backdrop of Manhattan’s iconic skyline, Aaron planned the perfect proposal on a crisp autumn day in Central Park. As they approached the park’s famous bridge, there stood the couple’s family and friends to witness the beautiful moment Aaron asked Rachel to marry him. “It was so special,” describes Rachel.

A Modern City Wedding in Washington, DC

Aaron and Rachel’s wedding day unfolded in the heart of Washington, DC. The high school sweethearts tied the knot at a historic house just steps away from the White House, a venue that Rachel instantly fell in love with upon seeing the quaint courtyard. Despite a forecast of rain all week, the skies cleared just in time for the ceremony. “The day was perfect, and I wouldn’t change a thing,” Rachel shares. The celebration beautifully blended modern and classic wedding styles, creating a setting that was both timeless and fresh. Highlights of the day included Rachel's emotional first look with her father, the deeply personal ceremony officiated by her Godfather, and the heartfelt speeches delivered by their closest friends. As the evening went on, the newlyweds and their guests danced the night away, the celebration continuing until the venue's very last moment.

A Timeless Bridal Look

Rachel's search for her dream gown began at our Washington, DC, bridal boutique. Arriving with her mother, she found herself torn between the Summer and Oceania gowns. It wasn't until a second visit to our New York bridal boutique, with her mother-in-law and sisters-in-law, that Rachel said ‘Yes’ to the dress. Her experience reinforced the importance of trusting your instincts. She advises brides, “Go with your gut, and it’s okay to try on the same dress multiple times.”

The bride was immediately drawn to the gown’s elegant simplicity, a design that struck a delicate balance between modern and timeless. The gown's lightweight fabric kept Rachel comfortable throughout the day, giving her the freedom to move and dance the night away. Determined to let the dress shine as the centerpiece of her bridal look, Rachel chose to accessorize minimally with pearl earrings and a meaningful bracelet gifted by her father.
